
Our Managing Partner, Olu Daramola is a seasoned lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria with a remarkable expertise in commercial litigation and arbitration. With over three decades of legal experience, he has an impressive track record of advising and representing clients in high profile cases across a wide spectrum of commercial law areas including banking, debt recovery, insolvency, real property, aviation, maritime law, company law, taxation and intellectual property.
A respected litigator and arbitrator, Olu routinely advices a broad range of clients including Nigerian and international high net worth individuals, clients across many sectors and industries such as financial services, public sector, transportation, construction and infrastructure and investments in both domestic and international proceedings. Olu’s academic journey began with a Honour degree in Political Science from the University of Ibadan, followed by a law degree from the University of Lagos and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1993. He also obtained two masters degrees in law from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and the University of London.
After a brief stint with Tayo Oyetibo & Co., he joined Afe Babalola & Co. where he built a stellar career. In 2008, he was elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria. Olu is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, United Kingdom and the Institute of Chartered Arbitrators, Nigeria.
